About The Digital Project
The Digital Speculum Romanae Magnificentiae provides users access to high-resolution digital versions of the prints. These digital images are made available using Zoomify which is a delivery technology that provides fast zooming in and out of high resolution files without excessive bandwidth demands.
The metadata in the Library's original finding aid for the collection was converted into VRA Core 4.0 and enhanced with additional information based on research on the prints. This metadata is used to provide the user a variety of ways to search and browse the collection. These current and former students have worked to improve the metadata that powers this site:
- Emerson Easley
- Marc Gartler
- Kristine Hess
- Stephen Kim
- Erika Tanacs
- Kenny Yu
